The mission of this traditional summer school is to provide one-week intensive courses on active research topics in probability and statistics, lectured by leading scholars in the field. The school is targeted primarily for doctoral students in probability, statistics, and related areas. Advanced MSc students, fresh postdocs and everyone in the research and applied field are welcome too.

Venue
Lammi Biological Station (map) is located by Lake Pääjärvi in the village of Lammi, district of Kanta-Häme, 120 km to the north of Helsinki. The summer school starts on Monday at 12:50 and ends on Friday at 12:00. Apart from the minicourses, there will be also time for a couple of sessions with contributed presentations, participants are welcome to submit their title and abstract by using the registration form or by sending an e-mail to the summer school coordinator. By filling the online registration form (the registration is binding).
The participation fee (30 €) is to be paid on location in cash.It is expected that the accommodation and travel costs of Ph.D. students will be paid by the graduate school from their own Universities. If you are a Ph.D. student, please ask first from your supervisor or your local graduate school coordinator. The FDNSS organization can also award travel grants to cover the accommodation costs (but not other travel costs) of participants who need support.
